| Day 18/19 Sis and I have decided that one of the ways to put our faith in action is to take our everyday life back. The bible says that the devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy, so we’re determined not to let him steal any more of our life. We’ve spent the last two days reclaiming a sense of normalcy in our life. It’s a fight, like everything is right now, but we won’t give up. We’re going to get back to that place of pure joy that we’ve always had. We’re going to laugh and sing. If you know Sis you know how much she likes to sing. Some of her favorite songs to sing are, “The National Anthem”, “Let it Snow”, and”Brown Eyed Girl”. She usually starts them all the same. She let’s out a big, “Wellllllllllll ..........” and launches into whatever song she’s got on her mind. We’re going to get back to that. One thing that’s really interesting to me about Sis’ singing is that we always seem to know exactly the same amount of words to any given song. We know the same parts, and only those parts. We’ll start off on a song ... close our eyes, throw our heads back like rock stars, get a few lines o fit out and both look at each other with a blank stare at exactly the same part of the song, without a clue as to what the next word is. We usually just start over. We’re starting over ... with everything. <back |
