Day 50
I woke up this morning and immediately these words popped into my mind, “Get up and pray”. I had intended to sleep in a bit longer, but I got up and started praying. After about an hour I became peaceful about things. We are going to Vanderbilt today to discuss our next phase of treatment and I think this morning prayer has something to do with it. It’s my usual practice to get up and pray, but I never had it hit me like that before.
When we had our appointment with doctor Johnson about the treatment options he outlined 3 or 4 possibilities. As he talked about them I was praying for wisdom. I became convinced, excited and very peaceful about one of the options in particular.
When Sis and I discussed the possibilities later we arrived at the same conclusion. It’s exciting to experience God working in your life like this. I know now without the time I spent praying this morning I would have just been confused and anxious about what to do. Sis and I both know this is what God wants us to do. We have a very peaceful feeling about it. We prayed for wisdom according to James 4:5 and believe that God not only led us to doctor Johnson, but that doctor Johnson is being used beyond his own intellect. Romans 8:28 says, ” ...all things work together for good to those who love the Lord ...”
We’re very excited.
