| Update 13—May 19(Sis) Friday (May 6) was Nurses’ Day. I have been looking forward to it for weeks. The Nurses at Vanderbilt go way above their job descriptions. When I am there for a few hours, everyone drops by to chat, give me cheesecake, sing songs, or let me visit with "Q-bert", the clinic dog. What I really appreciate is their friendship. The hugs never stop. Any victory I have is theirs as well. J and I bought flowers for three different groups of Nurses. Last week we received results from my latest CT Scan. I am very thankful. The Lord is so good! He gave me access to Doc Johnson! Dr Johnson takes time to tell you what is going on with your body….then we discuss everything from Drive-ups (I gave him a coupon…….he loves Sonic) to our favorite shows on television. He loves the Discovery Channel and OCC (Orange County Chopper). I can’t wait until my next appointment with him. J and I bought him an OCC T-shirt. J and I praise God daily for these folks. Someone e-mailed me to ask what I have been eating lately. Here goes: Rice with Cheese on top I better run now. I just got back from the grocery and nearly hit my mailbox! Why do we put those things so close to the road. I better find J……….. |
