Day 17

Radiation Day 3

Only 7 to go!

Today I had only one piece of duct tape. I feel very accomplished. The “gunner” lady was gone, replaced by my two favorite techs guys. They are both very sweet and funny and fight with me over whether Harry Connick , Jr is only good on Christmas Songs.

The light was white today. J says I am just being patriotic, but I tell you it was white.  That’s right …..three days…red, white, and blue.

Tonight my head is really feeling “full”.  J and I are in prayer and believe in God’s divine healing.

I received a call from Karen today. She works with Doctor Johnson. She pretty much laid out the plan. I finish the two weeks of radiation, then go for a CAT, then the treatment program is determined. Very compassionate lady. This group at Vanderbilt seems to be focused not only on patient care but how you are doing mentally. Are you staying up? I am learning this is the ‘real” deal.

I spoke to my Radiologist today. Get this. Yesterday, one of his 50 year old lady friends had a seizure behind the wheel of her car. It was determined last night she has the same “problems” in the same places as I. No warning. This is like the Twilight Zone!

I pray for this Vandy program with the guiding hand of God influencing the outcome.

Oh, by the way…..just a side note….my teeth are getting whiter every day. Forget the Crest Strips. Radiation will apparently give you better results in just 3 days!

I sincerely love and appreciate you all for being with me through this time. I look forward to hearing your words of wisdom. As always, I am In IT to Win IT!
